Biographie

Bahaa Sunallah was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2000. He worked in private practice before he joined the Federal Department of Justice in 2003 where he assumed roles of progressive responsibilities, including as acting senior counsel & manager. His practice focuses on administrative law, Charter rights, and litigation. He appeared regularly before the Federal Courts and other administrative tribunals and was lead counsel on complex litigation before the Federal Court of Appeal.

Bahaa continues to teach at Carleton University’s Department of Law and Legal Studies. Since 2006 he taught the Selected Topics in the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, Constitutional Law, Administrative Law and Public Law.  He previously taught at the Law Society of Upper Canada's Bar Admissions Course, and Algonquin College's Law Clerk Program.

Bahaa obtained his law degree from the University of Ottawa (1998) and an undergraduate degree with High Honours in Economics from Carleton University (1995).
