La Fondation franco-ontarien has chosen Common Law’s Anne Levesque as a finalist for a Prix Saphir in the Community Engagment category. The Prix Saphir aim to recognize and promote the commitment, excellence and influence of women in the Franco-Ontarian community.
On the Margins of Trans Legal Change: Professor Samuel Singer guest edits special issue of the Canadian Journal of Law and Society
Professor Samuel Singer is the guest editor of a new special issue of the Canadian Journal of Law and Society, entitled On the Margins of Trans Legal Change, with fellow guest editor Ido Katri (University of Toronto). The publication is the continuation of a project seeking to amplify trans legal studies in Canada, which was the focus of a conference at McGill University’s Faculty of Law in May 2019.
Faculty of Law Ranks Among Top International Law Schools For SSRN Downloads
The University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Law has earned a prestigious ranking on the Social Science Research Network’s (SSRN) list of the Top 500 International Law Schools. uOttawa currently ranks 12th on the list of total downloads from international law schools for the last twelve months, and second among Canadian law schools. This truly places uOttawa’s legal research production amongst the top schools in the world.
