Professor Craig Forcese Earns Funding for Book Project on History of the Federal Courts

Posted on Sunday, February 17, 2019

Professor Craig Forcese has earned funding from the Courts Administration Service for research that will contribute to a commemorative book to mark the 50th anniversary of the Federal Courts.

The Federal Court of Canada was created in 1971, and will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2021. In collaboration with researchers from York University, the Université de Montréal, and the University of Lethbridge, Professor Forcese will conduct interviews with current and former members of the Federal Court and Federal Court of Appeal, as well as key staff members of the Courts Administration Service. The book will be published in 2021, and a subsequent three-day symposium will celebrate the past, present and future of the Federal Courts.

Congratulations to Professor Forcese!
