Neuberger-Jesin Professor John Packer visited Zimbabwe for two-and-a-half weeks in July-August as one of only two Canadian members of The Commonwealth Observer Group (COG) for Zimbabwe’s historic post-Mugabe general elections.
On September 12, 2018, the University of Ottawa’s Centre for Health Law, Policy and Ethics will welcome Professor Robert Geyer and Professor Thomas Webb from Lancaster University, UK, for a special talk entitled “Thinking about complexity and health: the implications of complexity theory for health policy and law.”
From July 16-21, 2018, uOttawa welcomed 25 remarkable women peacebuilders from over two dozen countries, including Afghanistan, Syria, Yemen, Myanmar, Colombia and South Sudan for an innovative new seminar and certificate course on gendered and inclusive mediation. The event was hosted by uOttawa’s Human Rights Research and Education Centre (HRREC), under the guidance of Common Law professor, and Director of the HRREC, John Packer.
