Common Law Alumnus Ali Tejpar (J.D. 2018) Receives United Way Ottawa Community Builder Award

Faculty of Law, Common Law alumnus Ali Tejpar (J.D. 2018) has been named the recipient of United Way Ottawa’s 2018 Community Builder Award. Mr. Tejpar was selected for his community impact work with Youth Ottawa, the World Economic Forum's Ottawa Global Shapers Hub, the Ismaili Council for Canada, and the Royal Commonwealth Society. He received the award on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at a ceremony at Ottawa City Hall.

 

The Community Builder Award honours the city's outstanding volunteers, who work collaboratively to make Ottawa a better place for everyone. As part of the award, Mr. Tejpar’s name will be permanently inscribed on the City Hall's Wall of Inspiration.

 

Mr. Tejpar is currently an articling candidate at Norton Rose Fulbright LLP in Ottawa. He has received previous recognition for his achievements and leadership as a World Economic Forum Global Shaper, Top 50 Emerging Canadian Leader, and Associate Fellow of Queen Elizabeth II's Royal Commonwealth Society.
