Common Law Alumna Rachel Leck (LL.B. 2009) Appointed to Canadian Human Rights Commission

Faculty of Law, Common Law alumna Rachel Leck (LL.B. 2009) has been appointed as a part-time member of the Canadian Human Rights Commission (CHRC). Ms. Leck will hold office with the CHRC for a term of three years.

Ms. Leck is an Associate Lawyer with McCague Borlack LLP in Ottawa, with expertise in employment and human rights law, and insurance defence. She has given generously of her time to the law school, mentoring women as part of the Women’s Legal Mentorship Program, coaching first-year students in our Dispute Resolution program, and speaking at Faculty-organized legal skills workshops.

She also sits on the board of the Orchestre des jeunes de l’Ontario français, and Youville Centre, which provides support to adolescent mothers and their children.
