Common Law Alumna Nathalie Champagne (LL.B. 1990) Appointed to Superior Court of Justice

The Honourable Jody Wilson-Raybould, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, announced on May 24, 2018 the appointment of Nathalie Champagne (LL.B. 1990) as a judge of the Superior Court of Justice in and for the Province of Ontario in Cornwall.

 

Prior to her appointment, Justice Champagne worked as a case management master for the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. She also enjoyed an extensive career with Legal Aid Ontario, spending 18 years with the corporation. Earlier in her career, Justice Champagne practiced family law, criminal law and civil litigation.

 

Justice Champagne is also active in her community, having served as a leader for the Girl Guides of Canada, as a Sunday school teacher, and as a director and teacher for a local non-profit children’s drama club. She has served on numerous committees and boards, including the Board of Action Logement.
