On October 4, 2012, the Faculty of Law welcomed members of Norton Rose Canada’s Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto offices for the official launch of the state-of-the-art Norton Rose Canada classroom on the third floor of Fauteux Hall.
The long-awaited spectacular Norton Rose Canada Classroom is now up and running. The former open area in the third floor of Fauteux Hall has been filled in and in its place now stands a 21st century auditorium.
On September 25, 2012, close to 400 law students, faculty and special guests packed the Gowlings Moot Court Room for “I Dissent! The Honourable Claire L’Heureux-Dubé in Conversation with Professor Constance Backhouse.”
Common Law graduate and Adjunct Professor Penny Collenette (’91) will receive the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, presented by MPP Yasir Naqvi (’99), at a special ceremony on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. in Fauteux Hall, room 361.
Faiza Ahmed-Hassan: The First from her Community to Enter a Professional Field Second-year student Faiza Ahmed-Hassan has written an article for Canadian Lawyer Magazine detailing how, upon entering law school as the daughter of refugees from the Horn of Africa, she was among the first from her community to enter a professional field.
