University of Ottawa Faculty of Law, Common Law Students competed in the second annual Canadian National Negotiation Competition (CNNC), which was held at the University of Saskatchewan, College of Law on March 2 and 3, 2018.
Technology is playing an ever-increasing role in the legal profession. While most lawyers use tools and databases specifically designed for the profession, few are familiar with the concepts of programming and the comprehensive analysis of computer data. This led Professor Wolfgang Alschner to develop and offer a course based on legal data analysis and programming in a judicial context.
Professor Carissima Mathen has been awarded the Law Society Medal, the Law Society of Ontario’s top honour. The Medal is awarded every year to a select few lawyers who have made a significant contribution to the profession.
