The IAG plays a critical role in advising the Law Society on matters impacting First Nations, Inuit and Métis lawyers and paralegals as well as Indigenous community members in the province of Ontario. The IAG is currently seeking members to join our efforts in advising the Law Society.

Professor Marina Pavlović has been awarded two prestigious University of Ottawa teaching awards, recognizing her leadership in innovative course and curriculum design, and her ability to engage students through problem-based, experiential learning strategies based on real-life practical problems.

In 1992, Jim Gatley, LLB 1994, decided to gather some of his classmates together and created a hockey league to help manage the stresses that can come with attending law school. 25 years later, the tradition continues and their kids have been welcomed onto the ice with them.
Professor Angela Cameron is part of a group of five feminist scholars who have been awarded a conference grant from the Oñati International Institute for the Sociology of Law to host an international workshop entitled “What Works in Feminist Law Reform? Lessons from the Local”. The workshop will feature feminist scholars from around the world, with special emphasis on scholars from the global south and Indigenous women.
