The uOttawa Refugee Hub, based at the Common Law Section, and the Faculty of Social Sciences are partnering with Professor James Milner of Carleton University on a $2.5 million partnership grant from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC). The project, titled Civil Society and the Global Refugee Regime: Understanding and Enhancing Impact through the Implementation of Global Refugee Policy, will explore how civil society can better respond to the needs of the world’s refugees.

Dean Adam Dodek has announced the appointment of Professor Tony VanDuzer as the new Hyman Soloway Chair in Business and Trade Law, a post he will occupy for the next two years. Professor VanDuzer takes over the Soloway Chair from Professor Debra Steger who completes her two-year tenure on June 30, 2018.
