Legal and policy instruments at global and European levels increasingly emphasize the need to address the specific demands of vulnerable migrants. But what does it mean to be vulnerable? Common Law Professor Delphine Nakache is leading the Canadian section of a Horizon 2020 research project entitled "Vulnerabilities Under the Global Protection Regime: How Does the Law Assess, Address, Shape and Produce the Vulnerabilities of Protection Seekers?” (VULNER).
We stand in solidarity with all Black members of our Common Law community – students, faculty, staff and alumni – and with all members of the Black community in denouncing anti-Black racism. On May 22, The Honourable David Lametti, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, announced a number of judicial appointments, including the Honourable Audrey Ramsay, LL.B. ’93, and the Honourable Narissa Somji, LL.B. ’94, to the Superior Court of Justice of Ontario.
