Les percées réalisées dans les sciences de la santé font naître d’immenses espoirs chez les patients comme dans le grand public. Cependant, au fur et à mesure de ces progrès, de nouveaux défis de nature juridique, réglementaire et éthique émergent en parallèle.  Le Centre de droit, politique et éthique de la santé, de par son caractère interdisciplinaire, est une plaque tournante pour la génération de nouvelles idées et données probantes ainsi que pour l’élaboration et la diffusion de recherches interdisciplinaires destinées à s’attaquer aux problèmes urgents en matière de santé, de soins de santé et de système de santé.

Seeking Associate Director

We're excited to announce a great employment opportunity at the University of Ottawa Centre for Health Law, Policy and Ethics. We're looking for an Associate Director for a two-year contract (with possibility of renewal). Qualified candidates will have a post-graduate degree in Law (LL.M. or Ph.D.), preferably with expertise in health law. Bilingualism is an asset but not required.
The Associate Director will work with the Director and Coordinator to lead strategic research initiatives and obtain funding for them, teach health law courses, manage and establish new training programs, and help plan a lively event roster (invited speakers, colloquia, Cafés Scientifiques, international conferences, etc.)

Santéships for 1st-year Law students now posted

Santéships provide Law students with the opportunity to undertake a project within the research program of a faculty mentor from the Centre for Health Law, Policy and Ethics. Students receive a $1,000 bursary and work on their project from January–April 2020 under the guidance of their mentor.
