Les percées réalisées dans les sciences de la santé font naître d’immenses espoirs chez les patients comme dans le grand public. Cependant, au fur et à mesure de ces progrès, de nouveaux défis de nature juridique, réglementaire et éthique émergent en parallèle.  Le Centre de droit, politique et éthique de la santé, de par son caractère interdisciplinaire, est une plaque tournante pour la génération de nouvelles idées et données probantes ainsi que pour l’élaboration et la diffusion de recherches interdisciplinaires destinées à s’attaquer aux problèmes urgents en matière de santé, de soins de santé et de système de santé.

RA positions for J.D. students, summer 2019

Professor Colleen M. Flood and the Centre for Health Law, Policy and Ethics are seeking two full-time (or 3–4 part-time) Research Assistants for the summer of 2019. The positions involve research into on more of the following topics:

i. issues of health law privacy that arise with emerging digital health technologies and the spread of patient portals.

ii. research into the regulation of ‘two-tier’ health care across the OECD, and its impact, on wait times in universal health care systems.

iii. research into the financing and regulation of long-term care.

iv. assistance in preparation of a chapter on harm reduction for a textbook in public health

v. assistance in working on course materials for the next academic year in courses relating to public health law and policy and for comparative health systems law and policy

vi. assistance in preparing a manuscript relating to artificial intelligence in health care and in submitting a multi-year research grant application supporting further research on this topic.
