The Pipeline Fights: Reflections from the litigators who took on Energy East, Trans Mountain and Northern Gateway

Three huge pipeline proposals imperiled climate action and threatened nature, said their critics. Largely as a result of court battles, two are now dead and one faces a major setback.

On November 5th, 2018, the Centre for Ecological Law and Global Sustainability welcomed three litigators who argued those pipeline cases : Barry Robinson and Dyna Tutel from Ecojustice, and Karine Peloffy.

This talk gave the opportunity to hear about the legal and political impacts of the Trans MountainEnergy East, and Northern Gateway decisions from these three lawyers.
