For the second year in a row, the Common Law teams swept the competition at the Walsh Negotiation Competition in Family Law held in Toronto this year on March 11 and 12. After three rounds of grueling competition, the team’s members, Emily Balment, Vinayak Ethiraju, Sydney Lloyd and Daria Vodova, advanced to the finals by achieving the highest scores against ten other teams from law schools across the province.
A team of four students from the Faculty of Law delivered an excellent showing at the 2014 Foreign Direct Investment International Arbitration Moot held from October 24-26, 2014 at Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, California, finishing in the top 16 out of 40 schools from around the world.
Common Law students Chris Kreutzner and Tanner Oscapellaplaced 8th out of 18 teams at the International Negotiation Competition held in Pohang, South Korea. As the top ranked Canadian team, Chris and Tanner proudly represented Canada in the competition against teams from around the world.
