The Jackman Humanities Institute (JHI) at the University of Toronto recently announced that Faculty of Law, Common Law Professor Tracey Lindberg will be its 2017-2018 Distinguished Visiting Indigenous Faculty Fellow from February through June 2018.

The JHI brings a senior Indigenous scholar into its Circle of Fellows each year. Research projects will focus on the Institute’s annual theme for 2017-18, “Indelible Violence: Shame, Reconciliation, and the Work of Apology”.

The Institute provides students and faculty at the University of Toronto opportunities to learn from each other, alongside visiting humanities scholars, regardless of their discipline. The JHI is focused on collaborative scholarship and is designed to stimulate interaction among scholars.
