Professor Chandler Earns CIHR Funding for Neurotechnologies Project

Professor Jennifer Chandler has been awarded funding from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) for a 3-year project studying the philosophical and legal ramifications of modifying human mental and physical capacities through neurotechnologies. 

The grant, worth $167,700, is part of the European ERANET Neuron program, under which national funders support their own researchers within international collaborations.  Professor Chandler will be working with Juha Räikkä and Jukka Varelius of the Department of Philosophy, University of Turku, Finland, and Kai Vogeley of the University Hospital Cologne, Germany.
